Wanted – Journeyman Plumber / Maintenance Technician

 

 Our property management company is seeking the right applicant to join our team as a service oriented Journeyman Plumber. We are looking for someone who is skilled in other trade work as well; filling the role of a property maintenance and special project technician. We offer competitive hourly wages, health benefits plus RRSP matching after one year of employment. Selected applicants will be contacted for an interview.

 The ideal candidate would demonstrate the following:

  • Excellent attitude and work ethic.
  • Excellent diagnostic and problem solving skills.
  • The ability to follow instructions; both written and oral.
  • Present the company in a professional manner.
  • Maintain a high level of personal grooming and appearance.
  • Good organizational, time management and documentation skills.
  • Be able to lift equipment and supplies of 50lbs or more up stairs and throughout buildings if needed.
  • Various other trade skills at a professional level are an asset. 

The successful candidate must:

  • Be Red Seal certified for BC.
  • Have experience.
  • Use a smart phone.
  • Have a reliable and secure van or pick-up truck.
  • Provide basic hand tools.
  • Wear a company uniform.
  • Maintain a high level of personal grooming and appearance.
  • Be able to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Be on occasional on-call rotation for after hours emergency service.
  • Provide a current criminal record check (you will be reimbursed for this cost).

The following skills would be an asset for the position but are not required:

  • Carpentry, plumbing, electrical skills.
  • Drywall repair, texturing, painting at a high quality level.
  • Water leak detection, restoration and repair.
  • Irrigation start ups and repairs.
  • Bathroom renovations and tile work.
  • Work inside and outside in all elements.
  • HVAC service work.
